Who we are

The Real Self is a counselling and coaching practice based in Bromley, London, offering services online and in person. Our website address is therealself.co.uk.

The practice is led by Anushri Prasad, Registered Member MBACP (membership number 399271), accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Our commitment

What information we collect and why

  • When you use our contact form or email us: We collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: Legitimate interests.
  • When you book a consultation via Calendly: Calendly collects your name, email address, and appointment details on our behalf. Legal basis: Contract.
  • When you subscribe to our mailing list: We collect your email address, held securely by Brevo. You can unsubscribe at any time. Legal basis: Consent.
  • When you use our wellbeing tools: Our wellbeing check-in is completely anonymous. No responses are collected, stored or transmitted. The tool runs entirely within your browser.
  • When you visit our website: Our website may collect standard server log data including IP address and browser type for technical purposes only.

Counselling and coaching records

If you become a client, we hold limited clinical notes as required by our professional obligations under the BACP Ethical Framework. These notes are stored securely and confidentially, never shared without your explicit consent except where legally required, retained for a minimum of 7 years after the end of therapy in line with professional guidance, and available to you on request.

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. Everything you share with us remains confidential, subject only to the legal and ethical exceptions noted above.
